The members of the Board of the
Lancaster County Housing Authority met
October 23, 2007
Members of the Board in attendance were: Cindy Stewart, Chairman, Neil Kinsey, Vice-Chair, Ralph Murray, Miriam Fletcher and Jim Shultz.
Staff members present were: Matthew T. Sternberg, Executive Director; David M. Brazina, Deputy Director; Teresa Danforth, Housing Services Director; Aimee Tyson, Community Development Director; Karen Bousquet, Community Development Assistant, and Marian Joyce, Secretary.
Also present: Jonathan Stadel and Jory Stadel, Boy Scouts
Mr. Kinsey called the meeting to
order at
Public Comment – None
Bills or Communications – None
Report of the Executive Director: Mr. Sternberg referred the Board to the Housing Monthly Activity & Status Report and noted the net gain of 15 new vouchers placed. Ms. Danforth, Housing Services Director, elaborated that there was a total of approximately 91 vouchers out and that it was incredible to get this meager number in place. Tabor has placed just one family because of the shortage of available low income housing for larger families. The fact that it is a “Landlord’s Market” drives rents even higher. Mr. Brazina answered questions on the issue of raising payment standards.
The Financial Report for the month of September was approved on a motion by Mr. Shultz, second by Ms. Fletcher, and unanimously accepted.
