Lancaster County Housing Authority

The members of the Board of the Lancaster County Housing Authority met Tuesday,
October 23, 2007.  The meeting was held at the offices of the Lancaster County Housing Authority, 202 North Prince Street, Suite 400. 

Members of the Board in attendance were: Cindy Stewart, Chairman, Neil Kinsey, Vice-Chair, Ralph Murray, and Jim Shultz.  
Absent: Miriam Fletcher

Staff members present were: Matthew T. Sternberg, Executive Director; David M. Brazina, Deputy Director; Teresa Danforth, Housing Services Director; Aimee Tyson, Community Development Director; Karen Bousquet, Community Development Assistant, and
Marian Joyce, Secretary. 

Also present: Tracy Guynup, ICAN; Matt Henderson, NewsLanc.com; Dee Stinson,
Lodge Inc. of PA; Tom Eisemann and Kenneth Smith, Community Basics Inc.

Ms. Stewart called the meeting to order at 4:03 p.m.

Public Comment: Ms. Traci Guynup addressed the Board regarding support for a re-entry program for women coming out of Lancaster County Prison.

Minutes of the October 2007 meeting were approved. The motion was made by Mr. Kinsey, second by Mr. Shultz and unanimously accepted. 

Bills or Communications: Mr. Sternberg announced with regret that he had accepted the resignation of Board Member, Neil Kinsey, effective December 31, 2007. Both Mr. Sternberg and Ms. Stewart thanked Mr. Kinsey for all his help to the organization.

Report of the Executive Director: Mr. Sternberg explained that there was no Housing Report for December as the earlier meeting date was before the mid-point of the month.

The Financial Report for the month of October was approved on a motion by Mr. Kinsey, second by Mr. Murray, and unanimously accepted. 

Committee Reports – None

New Business – None                                                                                                                                        

Other Business: Ms Stewart suggested a new start-time of 4:30 p.m. for the 2008 Board meetings. Mr. Shultz and Mr. Murray agreed to the request.

Ms. Stewart announced that the next meeting of the Board of the Lancaster County Housing Authority is expected to be held Tuesday, January 22, 2008, at 4:30 p.m. at the offices of the Lancaster County Housing and Redevelopment Authorities, 202 North Prince Street, Suite 400, Lancaster, PA. 

The meeting was adjourned at 4:24 p.m.
