COMMUNITY FACILITIES
Community
Development funds may be used to make physical improvements to community and
neighborhood facilities used by local youth, community groups, and senior
citizens. To be eligible for financial assistance, the project must primarily
benefit low and moderate income persons.

A variety of
improvements are eligible under program guidelines. Listed below are some
typical examples:

Structural
renovations

Electrical,
plumbing and HVAC improvements

Correction
of code violations

Facility
expansion

Improvements
to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act

Organizations
are notified of the availability of funds for community facilities projects in
the spring of each year. Funding is generally available beginning in
