COMMUNITY FACILITIES

Community Development funds may be used to make physical improvements to community and neighborhood facilities used by local youth, community groups, and senior citizens. To be eligible for financial assistance, the project must primarily benefit low and moderate income persons.

A variety of improvements are eligible under program guidelines. Listed below are some typical examples:

  • Structural renovations

  • Electrical, plumbing and HVAC improvements

  • Correction of code violations

  • Facility expansion

  • Improvements to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act

Organizations are notified of the availability of funds for community facilities projects in the spring of each year.  Funding is generally available beginning in January of the following year.  For more information, contact Michael Urenovitch, Community Development Program Manager at (717) 394-0793, extension 210 or send us an email.
