PLANNING ACTIVITIES

Planning activities which further the goals of Lancaster County’s Housing and Community Development Programs and address the needs of low and moderate income neighborhoods and communities are eligible for funding assistance.

Regional and County-wide planning which addresses housing, infrastructure, and water and sewer needs assists municipalities to carry out coordinated, well-considered projects.  Townships and boroughs can undertake planning projects independently or join together to address regional needs.

All planning projects must be endorsed by the Lancaster County Planning Commission prior to requesting Community Development Block Grant funding.

Organizations are notified of the availability of funds for planning activities in the spring of each year.  Funding is generally available beginning in January of the following year.  For more information, contact Michael Urenovitch, our Community Development Program Manager, at (717) 394-0793, extension 210 or send us an email.
