Good Luck, Bill & Lisa!

With 45 combined years of experience at the Lancaster County Housing and Redevelopment Authorities, and having suffered through many years of East Coast winter weather, Bill and Lisa Fountain are heading west this summer to relocate in sunny Southern California.

For Bill, who started at the Redevelopment Authority 27 ½ years ago as an Engineering Officer, it will be a homecoming. Born and raised in California, Bill left at age 18 to join the U.S. Army. His current position with the Authority is Director of Technical Services, and his responsibilities include managing all of the construction for housing projects, the Home Improvement Program (HIP) and public improvement projects; as well as, managing the Housing Quality Standards (HSQ) inspections for all the units that receive Section 8 assistance.

Lisa was born in Plainfield, New Jersey, and she spent much of her early years moving around, due to her father’s job transfers. She lived in different parts of Pennsylvania and in Virginia before settling in the Lancaster area at age 22. Her work experience includes ten years as a Housing Clerk for the Housing Authority. Currently, Lisa serves as the Loan Administrator for HIP, the Homeowners Assistant Program, the Access Grant with United Disabilities Services, and the American Dream Downpayment Initiative.

Bill and Lisa will be moving to Thousand Oaks, a town about 40 miles north of downtown Los Angeles. Both say they’ll miss Central Market and the beautiful countryside here. We wish them the all the best, and we’ll be thinking of them, especially when this year’s first snow storm blankets Lancaster County!
