Effective August 1, 2021, the Lancaster County Housing Authority will operate a small Emergency Housing Voucher (EHV) Rental Assistance Program funded by the Federal government under the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021.

These EHVs are only for individuals and families experiencing homelessness; those at risk of homelessness; those recently homeless and at high risk of housing instability; and those fleeing domestic violence or human trafficking.  To be eligible, households must be at or below HUD’s Very Low Income Limits for Lancaster.

The Housing Authority may NOT accept direct applications for these EHVs.  Applicants must be referred to the Housing Authority through the existing network of homeless services providers in Lancaster County.

If you believe you are eligible and wish to be considered for an EHV, please call 211, the Community Help Line, for eligibility screening. (Callers outside the Lancaster County calling area may reach the Line by calling 855-567-5341.)
